Join an instructor for a Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Lesson along Kailua’s pristine beach, with the possibility of venturing out to Flat Island. This experience offers an introduction to Hawaii’s rediscovered tradition of stand-up paddleboarding. Participants will learn essential paddling strokes, as well as the secrets to turning and maintaining balance on the board.
From your elevated vantage point on the paddleboard, wildlife encounters are a common and exciting part of the experience. Keep an eye out for sea turtles gracefully swimming beneath the surface and various fish darting around the vibrant coral reef. This lesson not only teaches you a new skill but also provides a unique perspective of Kailua's marine life.
The package includes a 2-hour lesson and tour, followed by an additional 2 hours of beach time for you to practice your new skills or simply relax by the ocean. All necessary equipment, including a Stand-Up Board (NSP 11’6” or similar), a full EVA foam deck pad, and a surf leash, are provided. To enhance your beach experience, a snorkel mask, boogie board, and beach mat are also included. For your convenience, transportation from and to Waikiki is part of the package, ensuring a hassle-free day. You'll also receive an DLNR Offshore Islet Landing Permit. Throughout the day, lockers are available to secure your belongings.
