Custom-built in 1995, Thunder was designed specifically for the unique coastal waters off Hernando Beach. With a shallow 3.5-foot draft, she’s perfect for navigating nearshore waters, yet stable and powerful enough to venture 30–40 miles offshore into the rich fishing grounds of the Gulf of Mexico.
Powered by twin diesel engines, Thunder cruises smoothly at 16–18 mph. Guests enjoy comfortable seating under an open-air canopy, and the vessel is equipped with a head (restroom) for convenience. Thunder is U.S. Coast Guard inspected and carries both a federal reef fish permit and a pelagic permit, meaning we follow all federal fishing regulations to ensure sustainable and legal fishing practices.
We run daily 8-hour trips from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, as long as weather permits and a minimum of 12 passengers are booked.
