Looking for a truly spine-tingling experience? A haunted house in tampa florida awaits you with the Safety Harbor Ghost Tour. Step into a world where history and the supernatural intertwine, exploring a seemingly quiet Florida town with a surprisingly dark past.

Safety Harbor is a seemingly quiet Florida town with a dark past. This ghost tour, the only one in Safety Harbor since 2021 and the longest running, is led by Cynthia Dominick, a certified tour guide, professional paranormal investigator, and founder of Silent Slayer Ghost Tours. Cynthia, a local resident, uncovers stories most people never hear, including those of a hanging tree, a devastating fire, a murder connected to a possible brothel, a daring bank robbery, and the city's funeral home past. The natural healing springs beneath the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa were once considered sacred by the Tocobaga people, who believed they protected the land from hurricanes. This protection held until Hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024, leading to local theories that developers who cleared ancient live oak trees may have pushed their luck too far. The tour includes a stop inside the historic Safety Harbor Resort and Spa lobby, where History Hall showcases a remarkable collection of historic photographs. Guests also visit Rocking Delicious, a candy store in a 1925 building reportedly home to the ghost of Tarzan (on select open evenings). Near the end of the tour, guests participate in a ghost hunting sampler at the Elf Tree using dowsing rods, a spirit box, cat balls, and the flashlight experiment. Since 2021, Silent Slayer has documented consistent firetruck activity at this location before, during, and after tours, even when Cynthia is not present. A psychic medium believes this phenomenon is not a coincidence. The tour continues to the Baranoff Oak, a 300 to 500-year-old live oak predating European settlement, which still stands protected. Cynthia also shares personal recommendations for the best local restaurants, ice cream, Cuban sandwiches, and brunch spots in Safety Harbor. This tour offers real history, true crime, and documented paranormal activity without costumes, actors, or jump scares (unless a raccoon surprises you).
