Navigate over 4 miles along the protected waters of Shackleford Banks to the primary destination. Led by Captain Mark, the guided land tour will take you along one or more trails to the ocean side of the island. Explore a maritime forest, grasslands, and dunes, while keeping an eye out for the renowned wild Shackelford Banker Horses. Reach a pristine, untouched beach and enjoy the solitude while identifying shells like the Lettered Olive, Northern Quahog Clams, helmets, and the elusive Scotch Bonnets.
